How to cook american hotdogs/frankfurters without them splitting?

How do you cook American Hotdogs/Frankfurters in a saucepan without making them split....I have a work dinner this friday and we have to make alot of them but dont want them splitting....any advice? How to cook american hotdogs/frankfurters without them splitting?
Never cook any sausage above 180 degrees it will split! It is beat not to boil hot dogs, saute, grill bake, heat them slowly on a grill or saute pan, use indirect heat that is not too hot on the grill, WATCH them! When done, wrap in foil and place in warm spot on grill or oven. if you must cook them in water simmer them slowly, water boils at around 180 or so simmer is good! How to cook american hotdogs/frankfurters without them splitting?
Cook them slowly and over a medium-low heat. Poking holes in the skin could also help. The splitting is caused by the heat generated inside the dog while it heats and the drying of the skin of the hot dog while it cooks. If you cook them slowly and make sure not to overcook them which dries out the skin they should be fine.
If you start with the dogs in cold, lightly salted water and bring them up to 165F on MED-HIGH they wont split.
