How do you get rid of a splitting head ache?!?!?

I am 13 and have a splitting head ache! My mom has always had these head aches and I have used her solutions. Please help!!!How do you get rid of a splitting head ache?!?!?
It will depend on the type of headache but since you said you and your mom both get them I would wager they might be a type of migraine. Try drinking something with caffeine and sugar, like a coke. Then go lay down in a quiet, dark room with an ice pack wrapped around the back of your neck.





A lot of head aches are caused by the blood vessels in the head being over dilated. Caffeine and the ice will constrict them and should help a lot.

Gatorade is a great way, considering the electrolytes that help decrease the headache. also, to naturally get rid of it, try drinking water (dehydration headache), eating something healthy(malnourishment headache), or relaxing (stress headache). Or try taking a hot shower. If all else fails, it must be bad so take an ibuprofen.
The flesh between your thumb and your forefinger, start to gently massage it, slowly increase the pressure until it is noticeable, until painful, the pain will be relieved.

i've tried lots of things but for me it just really helps to take 2 advils and get in the bed to watch a movie.
