What is the likelihood of fedex stock splitting sometime soon?

what determines when and if it splits? What is the likelihood of fedex stock splitting sometime soon?
The last time Fed Ex split its stock was a 2 for 1 split in May of 1999. It's hard to judge when the board of directors will determine another split is justified. Before the split in 1999, FedEx split its stock 2 for 1 in 1996, 1983, 1980 and 1978.

As the board did not see fit to split the stock when it was trading north of $100/share from late 2005 thru late 2007, it seems unlikely they would do so at the current level. What is the likelihood of fedex stock splitting sometime soon?
when the stock price gets high enough, it splits to make it ';appear'; cheaper. In fact, stock splits do nothing. Think about it.

A company has 1000 shares at $100. 1000 X 100 = $100,000 market value

If they do a 2 for 1 split and give everyone double the shares, the price goes to $50. So now you have 2000 shares for $50. 2000 X 50 = 100,000 market value.

Nothing changes. It just wants investors to believe its selling at a cheaper price, when in fact, its the same because with each $1 invested, you are still buying the same amount of the company.
