Can you pull the shifting fork out on a 99 R1 w/out splitting the case?

Has aneyone ever pulled the cover off of the side of the trans at the shifter, and pulled the shaft out, and what happened. If I can pull it out and replace it it will save me big Bucks. Yamaha shop won't give any help. Can you pull the shifting fork out on a 99 R1 w/out splitting the case?
No, you can't change a shift fork without splitting the cases. It really isn't that hard to do a transmission on a streetbike, as the case are split horizontally. Can you pull the shifting fork out on a 99 R1 w/out splitting the case?

Sorry Cuz it installs from the inside
No... You cant get it out, or properly get it in right if you could. Dont even try you will ruin your bike. Best bet is to sell it and get another one. Alot of guys can do the labor thmeselfs and you will make out by selling your bike and getting a new one, compared to keeping your bike any paying to sell it. A yamaha delear is the only place that can do it right and it will COST you.
