I know of efforts to get Alaska to secede from the USA. There are, also, the incessant cries of ';the South shall rise again'; from the area where I happened to be born. There have also been efforts, several times, to separate Northern and Southern California into two separate states (I think this last one would be a GREAT idea, as I love N. CA, but hate S. CA).
Anyone else know of any others?How many states have secessionist or state-splitting groups active for their causes?
You can leave the union any time you want. You just can't take the real estate with you. Ask Abe Lincoln. LOL
