Explain the splitting of Abraham's descendants into multiple ways of worshiping God?

I am looking for text (with specific places I can look it up) from various holy books with explanations of the way which who branched off into which religion, and the various customs of each. Preferably within: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.Explain the splitting of Abraham's descendants into multiple ways of worshiping God?
Comparison between islam and Christianity and Judaism

There is a book by Bierlein, (there are two initials that I can't remember); it is a book about religion seen through many ways. One is through the mythological point of view. He explains, how religions go through transitions just like any other type of institution. Bierlein describes the changes, adaptations, transformations that judaism went through, primarily due to the influence of the surrounding people and therefore religion. I believe that this book would be one that can help you with this transformation that began with hebrews coming out of Egypt, the concepts brought with them after 400 years of egyptian influence.
jews-the original.the old testament,torah

christians-believe in the new testament,or as refered to in the koran as those who put jesus before god by making him equal, and even god himself

islam-the reinforcer of the new testament that denounces those who believe jesus to be god

--------------------------------------…

jews-messiah has not come, and are patiently waiting

christians-messiah was jesus, was killed, and raised from the dead

islam-jesus and judas did the old switch-a-roo,judas was on the cross, and god took jesus to heaven before he died, and will return to destroy the wicked and disbelieving

--------------------------------------…

these are the basic things that split them.however they bicker over wether or not to wash your hands before eating,so the ';differences'; are endless.only due to misinterperitation by ALL THREE,but when ishmael was born of hagar, and issac was born of sara is not when the religion split.when jesus came is when they all split.and jesus himself recognized this in

Matthew 10:34

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword
Well Islam I believe stems from Ishmael. He was separated from Abraham and sent off with his mother. Judaism and Christianity. Well, when Jesus appeared as the Messiah and established Christianity, not all Jews followed so there's your split there.
